Focusing on safety, Juan Ramos has joined Alta Drywall and now we have someone whose primary focus is safety. We expect to see increased improvement in our EMR and a even safer environment for employees. Juan comes to us from one of our very best customers “Standard Pacific”. We had worked with Juan and knew the quality individual he is, so we scooped him up and brought him into the fold. He went to work and we immediately began to see positive results as he worked on both field process improvement and safety. Juan is bilingual and an exceptional full on (from the ground up) project superintendent. AsAlta's Safety Superintendent, he handles new hire orientations and makes certain that each employee is issued and understands the importance of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Within 24 hours each new hire is followed up with to assure they are operating at Alta standards with regard to safety and quality. Juan also makes certain that each department has a weekly tailgate safety meeting. Our goal is with regard to attendance to tailgate safety meetings is “every week, every employee” which is twice as often as is required by OSHA.
