Exceptional Safety Record
Employee safety is very important to us at Alta Drywall. Hardhats and work boots are worn at all times, as well as eye protection for certain tasks. Alta managers are in the field daily to ensure that our employees are following appropriate safety standards. Safety practices are ingrained in every Alta team member through constant encouragement, new-hire orientations, bilingual training videos, office and jobsite signs as well as written manuals.
Alta Honored With AWCI National 2010 Excellence in Construction Safety Award
Winning this prestigious award from the AWCI (Association of Walls and Ceilings) is a huge achievement, with companies all across the nation competing. We feel so proud to win the top spot for safety. AWCI is nearly 100 years old and is the largest association in our industry with membership running in the thousands. Learn more about AWCI's Denver convention and view the video describing why Alta received the Award.
Our Experience Modification Rate (EMR) for 2010 is 73%
When you realize that a businesses EMR is calculated by a state agency which is unbiased and based on individual companies safety record in a particular industry, then you will truly appreciate the value of our score. An EMR of 73% means that when compared to other drywall contractors our record is 27% better than average! A safety record like this is no accident. It comes as the result of making safety a priority, being willing to invest in safety and a lot of effort.
