Quality Control

Our customers depend on us to get our work done right the first time and complete it on schedule. Getting our work done on time and getting it done right the first time is what sets us apart from other companies. Every Alta employee is reminded from day one to take these issues seriously.

Written Quality Program
Alta Drywall has developed a internal quality program, called DOQS.
This written manual describes our Definition Of Quality Service (DOQS), and includes information on the various phases of our drywall process including scheduling, safety, SWPPP, and best practice. In addition, every step involved in delivering quality service and product is clearly outlined for both management and employees. Alta management, as process owners, and employees as participants working in cooperation with one another, have developed best practices and clear path processes that guide us to the successful execution of each task. These processes are translated into both Spanish and English. These “living documents” are never finished, they evolve and are revised regularly as the industry changes, the need for change arises or better methods are discovered.

Quality Walks
Prior to job start we perform a quality control walk. The purpose of this walk is to identify obvious problems, provide opportunity to customers and trade-partners to improve quality and avoid covering them. After production we do an additional quality walk to identify and rectify any problems. At Alta we feel that having a problem that a customer finds first is two problems. We strive to identify our problems internally and rectify them before they affect trade partners and customers. We do so by walking every unit wall by wall and carefully inspecting our quality.

Job Problem Courtesy Notice (JPCN)
If any obvious problems are discovered during our Quality Walk, a courtesy notice will be provided to the project Superintendent.

Customer Service
We conduct surveys, and follow up on every product we produce. We make customer satisfaction calls to ensure our customers are completely satisfied. And if any issues should arise we'll work together to find a solution.
